Consistence. Persistence. Prayer. Love
Christ Temple International Church is an evangelical charismatic church. Our vision is to ensure that every man, woman and has the opportunity of experiencing the miraculous, life-changing power of the gospel of Jesus Christ and to provide a church where they can grow and develop in ministry for the glory of God.
Our mission is to train and develop disciples in their God-given gifts and callings so they can be empowered for the task of building the Kingdom of God. As a Church we take our responsibilities seriously and with the help of the Holy Spirit we pledge our continuing efforts toward teaching the Bible in its entirety to all.
After faithfully serving his senior pastor and ordained into ministry by the Elim Pentecostal Church, the late Reverend Theo Benning and his wife Pastor Beatrice Benning responded to the Lord's call to come to Manchester where they founded and co-pastored Christ temple International Church in August 2004.
We are an international church that has the mandate to present the gospel of Jesus Christ to all mankind. Our aim is to provide a helping hand and hope to the hurting, homeless and the suffering in our society by comforting the hurting, reaching out in love to those in need.
We believe in the finishing work of the cross and the ongoing sanctification process of the word of God. We believe in training and developing disciples in their God-given gifts and callings. Our aim is to make a positive impact upon the world and our community by continuing to serve the young and the old. Finally we believe that Jesus is the saviour, healer, baptiser and our returning King.
STATEMENT OF FAITH.
The Bible is given by the inspiration of God and is the only, and authoritative rule of all-saving
There is one God revealed to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, each with distinct attributes. To God alone do all creatures owe the highest reverence, love, and obedience
Jesus Christ is the Son and is divinely appointed as mediator between God and man. He died, was buried, arose on the third day, ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God interceding for us.
The indwelling of the Holy Spirit is vital for understanding the Word, for power to witness, and for spiritual fruit in the life of the believer. (Gal 5:22)
Regeneration is a change of heart by the Holy Spirit to a life of holiness, freely given by repentance and acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.
Water baptism by immersion is an ordinance of the church, obligatory upon every believer. (1 Peter 3:20b¬22, Mark 16:16) Infants and children may be dedicated to the Lord, but they will not be baptised in water.
The continual practice of the spiritual disciplines (prayer, fasting, Bible Study, and worship) is necessary for Christian growth and fruitfulness. (Co I 4:2, Josh 1:8, 11 Tim 2:15)
THE LOCAL CHURCH
Each believer must be committed to a local assembly for spiritual oversight, accountability, and participation. We pray for the sick, minister healing to the hurting, encouragement to the weary, and love to those who need the touch of a friend.
